Description
This 2 color splatter ash lacrosse shaft comes in a variety of color combinations, with a gloss outer coat and a heat treated finish. Heat treating is a low soot oven that caramelizes the hard grain lines to produce a warm artistic appearance to each shaft.

This was the first shaft I ordered from Andy. When I was a kid, I played hockey, and I always liked wood sticks better than the new stuff. It just felt better. So, I surprised my daughter for her birthday and told her I was getting one. She was a bit leery, but I told her she could pick the paint style and the engraving, and she was on board. Her initial color picks didn’t seem great to me, but I put them in per her request. To my relief, Andy texted me back to let me know those were indeed not great colors to put together. The yellow and the green that she picked were just too close. So, she picked a bright green and electric orange splatter. It came out awesome. He instagrammed pictures of it on the rack, so we saw it getting made. He checked in when it came to the engraving and mentioned he could do just about anything with his new engraver, so we got some awesome stuff and clipart engraved. And, it came out amazing. I held off on putting in the review because I wanted to see how it did long-term. Well, it’s been months now, and she still loves it. The paint has worn down some on the angles, but it is still dramatically awesome looking. She feels better in goal, says it does not feel cold in her hands like metal (when she practices), it doesn’t vibrate when struck by the ball, and she says it deflects better than her old metal shaft. Oh, my kids are goalies, btw.

We are thoroughly obsessed with our Ripwood shafts Andy crafted for our family. These reviews are LONG overdue. I had these visions of shafts I wanted to gifts my young boys with as they had begun their second year in lacrosse and Andy went above and beyond to create the most amazing sticks for them. They have been playing them a year now, and they are still phenomenal! They also help with their arm strength compared to the new trend in super light shafts. They love them so very much, and I am forever grateful!
